Online Book Chat: ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ by Bonnie Garmus

Online Book Chat: ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ by Bonnie Garmus

November 17, 2022

This December, join the Books à la Carte team for a month-long book chat about one of the most popular books of 2022: Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Has life really changed for women since the 1960s? Has work-life balance improved? Is cooking chemistry? There are so many wonderful discussions to be had! Currently, Books à la Carte is creating a book list of popular cookbooks that use chemistry. Many cookbook authors love the science used in recipes, and we’ll share our recommendations online in November.

So how does the book chat work? Starting December 5, and taking place via the MCPL Reader’s Lounge on Facebook, the Books à la Carte staff will post questions about the book each week throughout December. Join the discussion along with your fellow book lovers as everyone shares their thoughts on this bestselling novel.

If you’re interested in checking out the book, Book Group Services currently has copies available (while stock lasts!). Contact Booktalk@mymcpl.org and request a copy. Make sure you include your name and the last four digits of your Library card number.
