Monetary
Midwest Genealogy Center's genealogy collection has been consistently recognized by genealogists as one of the best in the nation, and you have the opportunity to help ensure the continued success of this genealogy collection. Donations mean future generations will have the same opportunity to research their ancestors as you have today.
Donations of Books / Yearbooks
The Midwest Genealogy Center accepts donations of gently-used genealogy books and yearbooks. Donations of materials are accepted and are reviewed by the MGC Branch Manager for possible addition to the collection. MGC accepts donations in accordance with MCPL policy and all materials donated become the property of the Library. However, certain donated materials deemed to have unique or noteworthy content are considered on a case-by-case basis for special disposition. If you have any questions or would like to donate books, please call MGC at (816)252-7228.
There are many yearbooks in the reference collection, and we are now actively soliciting yearbooks including schools, colleges, organizations, etc. To see if a yearbook is in MGC's collection, search our catalog using the yearbook name or the city and the word "yearbook."
