Telling Stories from Other Cultures: Things to Consider

When is it appropriate to tell the oral stories of another culture? What is the difference between cultural appropriation and utilizing storytelling as a tool to engage with other traditions and ways of life? Join veteran storytellers Jim "Two Crows" Wallen and Brother John as they discuss their thoughts on how--or if--to tell the stories of other cultures. This class is part of the Oral Storytelling Certificate Program as a Storytelling Elective. This program will take place in person at The Story Center Historic Home.
