Come join our virtual discussion of Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie (1890-1976)! Known as the “Queen of Crime,” Agatha Christie has thrilled readers for the past century with her mystery crime novels, cementing her place in history as the bestselling novelist of all time.
Christie continues to be relevant today, with her brand of mystery and iconic characters, including Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. The latter has even made a recent comeback in the film industry with Kenneth Branagh cast as the famous fictional detective. Both Murder on the Orient Express, and more recently, Death on the Nile have been adapted into feature films.
I just finished reading Death on the Nile for the first time, and it piqued my interest in the woman behind the words. Did you know that in 1926, Agatha Christie went missing for 11 days, sparking one of the largest manhunts ever? Intrigue still surrounds the event. Christie is her own real-life mystery!
I’m excited to chat more about this incredible author, so on April 18 at 2:00 p.m., I’ll be hosting a virtual book discussion on Death on the Nile and I’d love to have you there.
