Families are invited to take an outdoor StoryWalk® when they visit our North Independence, South Independence, Platte City, and Withers Branches, as well as the Woodneath Library Center. These installations currently feature reproductions of books by local authors with fun activities to make yourself and your family a part of the story
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, VT. The StoryWalk® concept has been used all 50 states and at least 12 other countries.
