The Memory Lab is a do-it-yourself space that provides equipment for digitizing materials such as home movies, audio tapes, recipe books, and family photographs. The Lab educates and empowers customers to preserve their personal history and family stories for generations to come. Accepted formats at the Lab include VHS tapes, cassette tapes, photos, documents, photo negatives, and slides. Lab access is free, but users are required to sign up for three-hour appointments.
The Memory Lab is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
