Some things to note:
Does this device have Microsoft Office installed?
Microsoft Office is not installed on this device. To create or edit documents, it is recommended that a Google or Microsoft 365 cloud account be used. These are internet-based accounts, which provide access to office programs that are web-based. If you have an existing cloud account, you can sign into the browser directly.
Creating an Online Cloud Account
Creating an account only requires an existing email address or phone number for verification. Once you create your account, you can access your files and data from this or another device by logging in from a web browser.
Sign up for a Google account – access Google Docs (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Google Drive, and Gmail
Sign up for a free Microsoft 365 account – access free versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Outlook
Ending a Session
To end your session, hold the power button briefly, then choose Power Off or Exit Session from the on-screen menu. Doing so will clear all files, browsing history, and session data from the Chromebook. If you want to pause your session and resume working later, simply close the lid. Closing the lid does not end your session or clear files and session data. To resume your session, open the lid.
