This digitized collection of published genealogy and family history books include histories of families, county and local histories, how-to books on genealogy, genealogy magazines and periodicals (including some international), medieval books, and gazetteers. This is a collaborative and on-going project with FamilySearch.

Jackson County and Kansas City Plat Books 1886-1925
Plat books are a treasure trove for genealogists, providing land ownership information on ancestors. This digital collection, which includes actual, exact, and complete images of the plat books, and name indexes, were completed by volunteers at the Midwest Genealogy Center. The digitized images are made publicly available by the State Archives of Missouri and the Missouri Digital Heritage database.
